Young People: Help with learning and having fun

Grace and KathleenAnne are helping young people to keep busy. There are weekly group chats for the Boys group and the Girls group. Watch out for weekly challenges. Tell us about what you are doing to pass the time. And don’t forget the homework club. All you need is an email address to sign up to Angela’s Google Classroom. There is lots of tasks and activities in their to help you keep your skills up.

Here are some links to more films and other stuff to help you find fun and interesting things to do.

Uh, it feels like the lockdown will go on forever. But it won’t! Don’t stop planning your future and thinking about the things you want to do. For example lots of Leeds GATE young members have attended Leeds City College where they have studied all sorts of things and improved their basic skills if they needed a brush-up. You can still sign up to attend the college whilst we are in lockdown. They are also running ‘webinars’, like open days but online which you can join to find out more. The next webinars are on 29th April. These webinars are particularly useful if students are wanting to find out about the new application and interview processes during lockdown. Prospective students will also hear about courses, college student support and have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in polls live with our presenters. Check out the link to find out more.
