Young People: Help to look after yourself and your families’ health

 

Here is some advice for young people if you are worried about coronavirus.

Some of what you see or hear might sound a bit scary, so it's normal to have some worries.

If you feel like your worries are becoming too much, here are some tips to help you:

Don't bottle up your worries - talk to an adult you can trust.

If you're worried about elderly relatives, find different ways to keep in touch with them, such as video calling.

‘Get your information from trusted government websites.

Do things that you enjoy such as chatting or video calling friends on the phone.

Try something new at home take up a hobby or read a book. 

Try to keep busy: help round the home if mum, dad or your carer needs help

How to stay safe:

Wash your hands a lot; especially after you have touched surfaces that other people will have touched too.

Try not to touch your face If you have been out somewhere:  the virus can get in your body through your eyes, nose or mouth,  Washing your hands will help to stop this from happening,

Stay at home: if you go out and mix with friends you may bring the virus home to others you live with.

By staying at home we can do our best to make sure we are safe.
