Come along to the Leeds GATE Job Fair!

See our building, meet and team and find out more about our paid job opportunities

At: Leeds GATE, 169 Cross Green Ln, LS9 0BD
Drop in between 12 noon and 6pm, 30th June

Due to a number of successful funding bids and staff members currently on parental leave we are recruiting to a number of roles.

We have organised an open day to give people who are interested in working at Leeds GATE an opportunity to meet us to find out more, in an informal environment.

What are we looking for?

Our priority is to find staff with a strong commitment to our values. We are always particularly interested in hearing from people who are Gypsies or Travellers, and those from other diverse backgrounds. We have a blended staff team (a mix of Gypsies and Travellers and people who aren’t) though, and will continue to do so into the future.

We work across West Yorkshire and have current and upcoming roles in Leeds, Wakefield and Kirklees, with a range of different hours available. We are looking for -

  • Youth worker – Wakefield.

  • Advocate – Wakefield.

  • Advocate - Bradford

  • Social media assistant and content writer.

  • Trainers and assistant trainers (online and West Yorkshire).

  • Community Health Development Co-ordinator (cancer and cardiovascular disease).

  • IDVA Domestic Violence Lead

  • Wellbeing Development

  • Freelancers with one or more of the following skills – project management, community interviewing, events management, financial management and accounting.

Specific roles we are currently recruiting to are on our website but there is more to be advertised and we may combine roles for the right candidate.

What to expect

You will drop in to our community centre on Cross Green Lane at any time between 12noon and 6pm. Community members and staff will be on hand to have a one-to-one chat to tell you more about the organisation, the roles available, and how to apply. You won’t be interviewed but we will be interested to know more about you, your skills and experience and availability.

What next?

If you are interested and there is a role that fits your skills, experience and hours / salary needs then you will be invited to complete a short application form. If successful you will then be invited to interview.

Also....

We will not share with external parties your attendance at the fair as we know this may be an issue for some potential candidates, particularly in relation to their current employer.

We are a family friendly employer. If you need to bring your child or another person you are caring for along with you to the job fair, please do, they will be very welcome.

You can check out our organisation, values and additional benefits in advance on our website.
